A self-proclaimed Mediterranean citizen, Biljana’s passion and dedication to preserving this region stems from her childhood days in Mljet, a small island of exceptional biodiversity in the Croatian Adriatic. She holds a Master’s degree in Biology from the University of Padua and has extensive training and experience in strategic planning for conservation, protected areas and project and programme management. Her approach focuses on ensuring long-term impacts, effective collaboration with other sectors and meaningful cooperation with partners. She’s also passionate about languages and all forms of art and creativity. As the Programme Manager at Save the Med, Biljana organizes and coordinates the programs and supports the implementation of the Strategic Plan.
